A former employee of Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) has been charged with forging academic certificates to secure public employment. The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) brought the charges at the Kakamega Anti-Corruption Court.

• The suspect allegedly fraudulently acquired Ksh7,584,574 in salaries and benefits between 2015 and 2023.
• The case involves the EACC, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), and the accused former MMUST Nurse.
• The charges include forgery, uttering a false document, deceiving a principal, and fraudulent acquisition of public property; the accused denied all charges and was released on bail.
