A dispute has erupted between Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi and State House over the recruitment of National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) board members.

• State House replaced one of CS Mbadi's nominees with Morris Putita Kaaka.
• The Consumer Federation of Kenya (COFEK) is threatening legal action if the altered list proceeds to Parliament.
• CS Mbadi stated the interchange is a normal part of seeking concurrence and that the recruitment process is internal before submission to Parliament.
