Kenya will co-host the 2027 AFCON with Uganda and Tanzania, automatically qualifying for the finals.
The opening qualifiers are scheduled from 21 September to 6 October 2026.
Only the top two teams from each of the 12 groups will qualify for the finals, with specific rules for host nations within their qualifying groups.
