Parliament has officially received and will begin reviewing proposals from Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro to legislate a reduction in fuel prices.

• MP Nyoro proposes abolishing the Ksh7 Road Maintenance Levy, reducing VAT on petroleum products, and injecting Ksh5 billion from the Fuel Stabilisation Fund, potentially cutting prices by Ksh27 per litre.
• The proposals have been forwarded to the Budget and Appropriations Committee and the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning for detailed review.
• Parliament emphasized that all proposals will undergo full legislative scrutiny before any decision is made.
