Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) has introduced advanced Transanal Hemorrhoidal Dearterialisation (THD) technology for haemorrhoid treatment, marking a first in Kenya.

• The new, minimally invasive procedure offers reduced pain, faster recovery, and shorter hospital stays compared to traditional methods.
• KNH is collaborating with Pentaprism Medical Africa to implement this technology through a skills transfer program.
