The incident occurred during a thanksgiving service for Youth Affairs Principal Secretary Fikirini Jacobs.
President Ruto intervened, asking security to be gentle with the man and later offered him a seat in the VIP section.
This marks the latest in a series of security breaches targeting the President, including incidents in Wajir and Mombasa and a shoe-throwing incident in Migori in May 2025.
