An individual briefly approached the President during a thanksgiving event, touching his shoulders before being restrained. The National Police Service has initiated significant changes, with William Sawe appointed as the new Commandant of the Presidential Escort Unit, replacing Noah Kirwa Maiyo. Senior officers in the Presidential Escort Unit have been reshuffled as part of the security overhaul ordered after the breach.
