The Health sector has been allocated Ksh 175.5 billion for the 2026/27 financial year, with Ksh 700 million earmarked for emergency preparedness equipment.
Concerns were also raised about strain on national referral facilities due to inadequate human resources and the need for stable financing for public health institutions, which serve over 70 per cent of Kenyans.
