Three more schools in Nakuru County have been closed indefinitely due to fire incidents and safety concerns, following a fatal fire at Utumishi Girls Senior School. The closures add to a growing list of institutions suspending learning amidst student unrest and safety worries.

• The affected schools are Moi Forces Academy in Lanet, St Joseph Seminary in Molo Sub-County, and Naivasha Girls.
• The Rift Valley Regional Director of Education, Mr James Indimuli, confirmed a meeting with school heads to discuss the ongoing issues.
• St Joseph Seminary was closed on May 31 after a fire destroyed two dormitories, impacting 55 students.
