The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has arrested a man suspected of defrauding a woman of Sh450,500 through a SIM-swap M-Pesa scheme, capping a months-long investigation.

• A total of Sh450,500 was withdrawn from the victim's M-Pesa account.
• The arrested suspect is identified as Oscar Livondo.
• The victim, who was abroad, discovered the fraud upon returning to Kenya in December 2024, finding only Sh18 left in her account.
