The Bandari Maritime Academy (BMA) is launching a new Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programme to formally certify individuals with existing sea and offshore operational skills and experience, aiming to boost Kenya's Blue Economy.

• The programme will assess and certify practical skills acquired through work experience, bridging the skills gap in the maritime industry.
• Key personnel involved include Dr. Eric Katana, Chief Executive Officer of BMA.
• Current courses offered under the RPL include Forklift Operations, Coxswain Grade III, and Clearing and Forwarding, among others.
