The Anti-Counterfeit Authority (ACA) has launched a new digital verification system to combat counterfeit products in Kenya. This initiative aims to empower consumers to authenticate genuine goods before purchase.

• The system will initially target high-risk sectors like pharmaceuticals, agricultural inputs, cosmetics, and alcoholic beverages.

• The ACA has seized goods worth Ksh400 billion and destroyed counterfeit items worth Ksh200 million since its inception.
