The Kibera High Court has ordered mental assessments for eight students charged in connection with the Utumishi Girls Academy fire incident that occurred on Friday, June 26.

• Eight students are facing murder charges.
• The students are to be assessed at Mathare Mental Hospital by a child psychiatrist.
• The court has also mandated the opening of protection and care files for the minors, who will remain remanded at Kabete Children’s Home.
