• Mandatory annual inspections for private vehicles will begin soon, with the NTSA communicating the enforcement date "in due course."
• The NTSA has confirmed that all vehicle inspections will continue to be conducted at its designated centres, dismissing reports of private company authorization.
• Car owners with vehicles four years and older are directed to book inspections via the NTSA service portal on the eCitizen platform, with the full inspection regime set to commence on July 1, 2026.
