• Initially campaigning against the Kenyatta, Moi, and Odinga families as symbols of entrenched power, Ruto has since engaged in political pacts with members of these dynasties.
• Following intense Gen Z-led protests in June 2024, President Ruto reportedly extended olive branches to opposition figures, including a handshake with Raila Odinga and a political pact with Gideon Moi.
• With former President Uhuru Kenyatta now supporting the opposition and Gideon Moi also believed to be aligned with them, Ruto appears to be strategically dismantling the influence of these dynasties as he prepares for his re-election bid.
