The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has issued guidelines for the 2026 Grade 10 and vocational School-Based Assessments (SBAs). Schools can access assessment tools for projects and practicals on the KNEC CBA portal starting July 2.

The 2026 Grade 10 SBAs will contribute 15 percent to learners’ final Grade 12 results.
KNEC, the examination council, is responsible for uploading the assessment materials and overseeing the process.
Scores must be uploaded by October 31, with strict adherence to scoring guidelines to prevent malpractice.
