The Kenyan Cabinet, chaired by President William Ruto, has approved billions of shillings for infrastructure and development projects, seen as a strategy to showcase achievements ahead of the August 10, 2027 elections.

• The Cabinet endorsed strategic investments totaling billions, including Sh26 billion for the Judicial Performance Improvement Project Phase II and an additional Sh16.6 billion for the Mwache multipurpose dam.
• Key initiatives also include the Mother and Child Lifeline Initiative (Sh4.5 billion) and the Leather Value Chain Development Support Project (Sh5.8 billion).
• These approvals come as a review of the Kenya Kwanza manifesto indicates some promises have been broken or abandoned, while others are being cited as achievements.
