Kenya's Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Kisii Central has summoned Nyaribari Chache MP Zaheer Jhanda following violent clashes at a Linda Mwananchi rally in Keumbu that resulted in one death.

• One person died and 20 others were injured during the violence.
• MP Zaheer Jhanda has been summoned for questioning, and seven suspects have been arrested.
• The deceased, Vincent Mapinduzi, was part of the media team accompanying the Linda Mwananchi brigade and fell from a vehicle during the attack.
