The High Court has quashed the Salaries and Remuneration Commission’s (SRC) decision on the pay package for Kenyan diplomats, citing constitutional violations.

• The court ruled that the SRC failed to conduct meaningful public participation and unlawfully determined the Foreign Service Allowance.
• The petition was filed by Eliud Karanja Matindi.
• The court suspended its orders for 190 days to allow the SRC to conduct fresh public participation.
