• On June 9, 2026, boda boda rider Kenneth Kamau allegedly killed his pregnant wife, Susan Wanjiru, their two-year-old son, Samson Kabaiko, and then himself.
• Earlier, on June 6, 2026, Martin Kamau allegedly killed his estranged wife, Phyllis Wambui, and their two sons before taking his own life.
• In the first incident, a note suggested Kamau struggled with online betting addiction and emotional distress following his brother's death.
