Former Students Organisation of the University of Nairobi (SONU) deputy president, Irene Kendi, has announced her intention to vie for the presidency in the 2027 General Election.

• Ms. Kendi, 39, aims to be Kenya's first female president.
• She previously worked as a strategist for Uhuru Kenyatta, William Ruto, and Raila Odinga.
• Her platform focuses on addressing issues like poor healthcare, unemployment, high cost of living, and tribalism.
