The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has summoned Nakuru Town West MP David Gikaria to appear in person after he failed to attend a hearing regarding alleged violations of the electoral code of conduct.

• MP David Gikaria was ordered to appear at 1:30 PM today after initially missing a 9 AM session.
• The IEBC, chaired by Commissioner Alutalala Mukhwana, is investigating utterances made by Gikaria at Ol Kalou Constituency.
• Gikaria's Personal Assistant, Joseph Kariuki, represented him, claiming illness, but failed to provide necessary documentation.
