The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) is advocating for better pay and increased transparency in the hiring of government lawyers following discussions with the Public Service Commission (PSC).

• LSK is pushing for non-practising allowances for public service and in-house lawyers.
• Key players include the LSK delegation led by President Charles Kanjama, SC, and PSC Chief Executive Officer Paul Famba.
• The LSK also proposed observing recruitment interviews for legal positions to ensure fairness and professionalism.
