Airtel Money has transitioned its Rudishiwa transaction rewards from airtime top-ups to cashback deposited into a new Bonus Wallet. This shift, yet to be formally announced by the telco, offers greater flexibility to users.

• Rewards are now received as cash in a separate Bonus Wallet, rather than airtime.
• The new system, discovered through menu exploration, applies to sending money to other networks, Paybill, and bank-to-Airtel Money transfers, refunding 50% of transaction fees.
• The cashback in the Bonus Wallet is now reportedly withdrawable into the user's main Airtel Money account.
