After a 45-day work stoppage, doctors in Meru County have ended their strike following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Meru County Government.

• The agreement outlines commitments to implement promotions, hire doctors on permanent terms, and improve working conditions.
• The deal was brokered by the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU).
• The strike had significantly impacted healthcare services, particularly at Level 4 and Level 5 hospitals.
