- Alongside the accreditation, Kenya launched a Multi-Biometric Identification System, expanding its fingerprint database capacity fivefold and reducing police clearance certificate processing time from up to 14 days to 24 hours.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen launched a new Multi-Biometric Identification System (MBIS) at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations headquarters, significantly reducing certificate of good conduct wait times from weeks to just 24 hours. Kenya has become the first African nation to achieve international accreditation for its police forensic evidence management system, which the Ministry says will strengthen criminal prosecutions and lead to more convictions. The DCI also arrested the prime suspect in the murder of Technical University of Kenya lecturer Edgar Mokua, whose body was found dumped along Kamiti Road.
