The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has welcomed the High Court’s verdict convicting former Migori Governor Okoth Obado, Michael Oyamo, and Caspal Obiero of the murder of Sharon Otieno, expressing anticipation for the sentencing.

Sharon Otieno, a 28-year-old graduate and mother, was 28 weeks pregnant when murdered in 2018.
The case involved the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP), the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), and 42 witnesses.
Okoth Obado and his co-accused will be remanded for 21 days pending pre-sentencing reports after their bond was revoked.
