The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has alleged that former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was in communication with individuals implicated in the murder of mental health doctor Victoria Mutiso.

• DCI Director Mohamed Amin stated that investigators established communication between Gachagua and a main suspect.
• Gachagua was also reportedly in contact with the motorcycle rider who transported the suspects.
• The DCI has made significant progress in the investigation, identifying alleged plot organizers, the rider, and potentially rogue police officers involved in supplying the firearm.
