The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) Customs and Border Control Department has achieved its highest-ever monthly revenue collection, collecting a record Ksh92.53 billion in July 2026.
- The collection exceeded the Treasury target by Ksh6.37 billion, achieving a performance rate of 107.39 per cent.
- Key contributor to this success was non-oil revenue, which surpassed Ksh60 billion for the first time.
- The KRA attributes this achievement to enhanced compliance, improved cargo management, and increased use of technology, as highlighted by Commissioner Lilian Nyawanda.
