The dispute arose after the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) issued a circular on July 17, 2026, detailing a revised remuneration structure for civil servants.
UKCS challenged the implementation, citing a lack of collective bargaining negotiations for the 2025–2029 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
The Employment and Labour Relations Court declined to suspend the implementation, stating the SRC circular allowed for implementation through the collective bargaining process.
