An Ecuadorian intelligence chief and four American citizens were among the seven people killed in a helicopter crash in Samburu County on August 19.

• A total of seven people perished in the crash.
• The Ecuadorian official has been identified as Michele Sensi Contugi, head of Ecuador's National Intelligence Center.
• The helicopter was on a charter route from Suyian Conservancy to Mount Ololokwe when it crashed, with the cause still under investigation by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority.
