A new survey by the Campaign for Safer Alternatives (CASA) warns that a proposed ban on flavoured nicotine products in Kenya could push smokers back to traditional cigarettes.

• 32% of users surveyed indicated they would return to smoking cigarettes if flavoured nicotine products were banned.
• 50% of respondents use nicotine pouches and vapes to help them quit smoking, with another 47% viewing them as a less harmful alternative.
• Joseph Magero, Chairman of CASA, urged lawmakers to consider consumers' experiences and focus on helping smokers quit rather than implementing a flavour ban.
