A new Jitume Centre of Excellence has broken ground in Kikuyu, Kenya, aiming to equip local youth with advanced digital skills for the growing digital economy.

The centre will offer training in emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, robotics, and cybersecurity.
The project is spearheaded by Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichung'wah and is part of a national program by the Technopolis Development Authority to establish similar centres in all 47 counties.
This initiative aims to bridge the gap from basic digital literacy to specialized skills and entrepreneurship, building on the success of over 330 existing Jitume Digital Hubs.
