• Consumers should verify that LPG cylinders have an intact seal, clear brand markings, a serial number, and a valid requalification date (within 8 years of manufacture).
• The EPRA also recommends having cylinders weighed to ensure correct tare and net weight are indicated.
• This initiative is supported by Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary Opiyo Wandayi, who announced a government crackdown on illegal LPG dealers, including those linked to politicians.
