Two suspects in the murder of clinical psychologist Dr Victoria Nthunya Mutiso have been arrested in Kampala, Uganda, while a third suspect was apprehended in Nairobi, marking a significant breakthrough for the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

• The arrests bring investigators closer to unraveling a "carefully planned operation" that led to Dr Mutiso's fatal shooting on July 29, 2026.
• Among those arrested in Uganda are Police Constable Bett Kiplangat Collins and civilian Pius Muiru Mbugua, with a third suspect, Samuel Karanja Gathoni, alias "Lawyer", detained in Nairobi.
• The DCI indicated that the suspects allegedly fled to Uganda after the murder, and investigations are also exploring a potential motive linked to a land dispute.
