The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has stated that it cannot conduct the 2027 general election alone and requires collaboration with other state institutions and stakeholders.

• The IEBC Chairperson, Erastus Ethekon, emphasized that the commission's constitutional independence does not necessitate operating in isolation.
• Key stakeholders involved in the consultative forum included officials from the Judiciary, National Police Service (NPS), National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
• Ethekon also vowed to challenge any attempts to undermine the commission's independence and public confidence, while the Inspector General of Police, Douglas Kanja, assured neutrality and adherence to the rule of law in securing the electoral process.
