President William Ruto launched a major development drive in Bomet County, unveiling plans for extensive road construction and commissioning several key projects during a four-day working tour of the South Rift region.

Sh19 billion has been allocated for the construction of 11 roads totaling 380km in Bomet County.
Key initiatives also include the Kapkwen-Olbutyo- Siongiroi road, Kapkwen Last Mile Connectivity project, and Kapkwen Modern Market.
Other significant investments mentioned are Sh2.8 billion for electricity connectivity, Sh1.7 billion for modern markets, and the handover of 220 affordable housing units.
