Kenya's government has deployed Ksh1.4 billion worth of milk coolers to 41 counties to combat a severe milk supply shortage and minimize post-milking losses.

• The government procured 230 bulk milk coolers at a cost of Ksh1.4 billion.
• Agriculture and Fisheries Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe announced the deployment.
• This initiative aims to support over 115,000 dairy farmers and is expected to help aggregate 475,000 litres of milk daily, mitigating losses due to a dry spell and high feed costs.
