Deaths and Injuries Reported in Stampede During Raila Odinga's Body Viewing at Kasarani - October 2025

Several people have been reported dead and others injured following a stampede during the public viewing of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga's body at Kasarani stadium. The government had reportedly moved the funeral arrangements to Kasarani due to disruptions at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA). During the body viewing at Kasarani, General Service Unit (GSU) officers deployed tear gas at the mourners.
