Kenyan activists Bob Njagi and Nicholas Oyoo have publicly recounted their harrowing 38-day ordeal after being abducted and detained in Uganda. Nicholas Oyoo narrated that they survived on a meager diet of ugali and beans while held in Ugandan cells. The activists described being tortured during their detention, which they claim was due to the Ugandan government's fears they might incite youth to protest. Bob Njagi claimed his abduction was orchestrated by President Museveni's son, Muhozi, without the president's knowledge. In response, Kenya's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has dismissed the allegations of torture concerning the activists.
