Hazina kuu ya kitaifa imetangaza mipango ya serikali kuuza asilimia 15 ya hisa kwenye kampuni ya mawasiliano ya Safaricom. Hatua hii ikitarajiwa kuipa serikali mapato ya shilingi bilioni 244.5 kutoka kwa zaidi ya hisa bilioni sita zitakazouzwa kwa kampuni ya Vodafone Kenya.
