President Ruto has announced a significant increase in Kenya's tourism sector, hailing a boom as visitor numbers have reportedly doubled. In line with this growth, the Kenyan government is boosting its tourism targets. It aims to attract 5 million tourists and generate over KSh 1 trillion in annual revenue by the year 2028. The focus on tourism was further highlighted as this year's Jamhuri Day celebrations centered around the themes of Tourism, Wildlife, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions).
