Violent Crimes and Deaths Under Investigation Across Kenya - February 2026

Several violent incidents and mysterious deaths are being investigated across Kenya. In Machakos, police are investigating the mysterious death of a Form Three student at Katoloni School. A shocking incident unfolded in Madogo, Tana River county where a 29-year-old man allegedly killed his wife and 18-month-old daughter before taking his own life. Police in Malindi are investigating the mysterious deaths of two unidentified men whose bodies were discovered dumped along the Mombasa-Malindi highway near Mida Creek. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has apprehended three suspects believed to be connected to a series of violent robberies across Nairobi, Kiambu, and Kajiado counties. Additionally, one fisherman's body has been recovered from Lake Naivasha after a boat capsized, with two other fishermen still missing.
