President Ruto Signs KSh 5 Trillion National Infrastructure Fund Law - March 2026

President William Ruto has officially signed into law the National Infrastructure Bill, paving the way for the mobilization of KSh.5 trillion for major government projects. A newly formed steering committee focused on improving the functionality of Nairobi County announced its plan to allocate KSh 25 billion towards infrastructure development. Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja announced a new agreement with the State to fast-track key development projects, with a State–County Implementation Committee meeting weekly to oversee progress.
