Cotu Secretary-General Francis Atwoli has clarified that the 12% salary increment announced recently applies to all workers in Kenya, not just a select group. He had previously expressed his support for the salary increment announced by President William Ruto. Separately, President William Ruto has publicly acknowledged he was mistaken to prevent his daughter from pursuing a career in film, and he pledged increased investment in Kenya's creative sector during the Kalasha Awards ceremony held at the KICC in Nairobi.
