Edwin Sifuna Heads Back to Court Challenging ODM Removal - June 2026

Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna is heading back to court to challenge a recent decision by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) National Executive Committee (NEC) to remove him as the party's Secretary General. The Political Parties Disputes Tribunal (PPDT) upheld the ODM party's right to proceed with disciplinary action against him, despite quashing his immediate ouster as Secretary-General. The Linda Mwananchi political faction plans to challenge the ODM NEC decision to expel Sifuna for a second time. The ODM party has officially confirmed the removal following a report from an internal dispute committee, marking the second time Sifuna has been expelled from the position.
