Gachagua reveals his political wild card if court upholds impeachment - July 2026

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has revealed a succession plan for Mt Kenya, preparing a team of youthful leaders to take over should a potential impeachment be upheld by the courts, potentially barring him from the 2027 General Election. DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua has launched Operation Fagia, a campaign aimed at removing leaders allied with President William Ruto from power. Kenya's Deputy President has also pledged to initiate a significant purge within the National Police Service if he is elected President.
