EACC Arrests Six Over Sh1.5 Billion CHAN Tender - September 2026

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has arrested six individuals in connection with an allegedly irregular Sh1.5 billion tender for the 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) preparations. The EACC has also launched a separate investigation into the Kenya Fisheries Industries Corporation (KFIC) following allegations of corruption involving Ksh 20 million. National Assembly majority leader Kimani Ichung'wah has issued a stern warning to politicians against any attempts to interfere with the operations of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
