The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has arrested former Sports Principal Secretary Ambassador Peter Kaberia and five others in connection with an alleged irregular Ksh1.5 billion stadia tender awarded in 2017.

• A sum of USD 15.89 million was awarded for security, access control, and lighting systems at various stadia.
• The contract was awarded to Auditel Kenya, a Spanish company registered in Kenya.
• An advance payment of approximately Ksh330 million was made but the company failed to fulfill its obligations, leading to the loss of public funds.
