Updates on Nairobi Underpass, Mombasa Train Project, and Nakuru-Eldoret Highway Sinkhole - September 2025
The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) reports that the Ksh2 billion Nairobi Green Park Underpass project is over 90% complete and aims to decongest the CBD. Kenya Railways is also set to launch a modern Ksh 6 billion intracity commuter train in Mombasa this month to provide seamless connectivity from the SGR Terminus to the City Centre. Meanwhile, the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) issued a new advisory for motorists on the Nakuru–Eldoret Highway. A sinkhole reappeared near the Eveready roundabout, causing fresh cracks just 48 hours after initial repairs were completed.
